About this District

Established on May 5, 1969, the New Zealand and South Pacific District has grown from its first clubs in Auckland, St Heliers, and Hamilton into a network of 39 clubs and 492 members spanning New Zealand, New Caledonia, and French Polynesia. The district’s reach expanded internationally with the founding of the Kiwanis Club of Noumea in 1970 and the Kiwanis Club of Tahiti Papeete in 1988, reflecting a long-standing commitment to service across the South Pacific.

Led by District Governor Hina Mercier, the district has produced several Kiwanis International leaders, including Trustees Clinton Green and Michel Fongue and multiple ASPAC Chairs, underscoring its influence within the wider Asia-Pacific region.

About this District

Officially established as a District on August 28, 2022, Kiwanis India traces its roots back to the Kiwanis Club of New Delhi, founded in 1978. In just a few years, the district has expanded rapidly to 36 clubs and over 1,000 members across 5 divisions, with newer clubs such as NCR New Delhi and Haryana joining the movement in 2022.

Under the leadership of District Governor Khushwinder Kathpalia, Kiwanis India continues to build momentum across the region, channeling the energy of its fast-growing membership into service projects that improve children’s lives.

About this District

Home to the very first Kiwanis club in the Asia-Pacific region — the Kiwanis Club of Tokyo, founded in 1964 — Japan has been a cornerstone of the ASPAC district for six decades. Today the district comprises 41 clubs and 1,945 members across 8 divisions, building on early growth in Nagoya and Osaka in the mid-1960s.

Japan has produced four Kiwanis International Trustees and an ASPAC Chair, and its clubs have made and donated over 120,000 Kiwanis Dolls to hospitals and nursery schools, a signature project that reflects the district’s enduring focus on children’s wellbeing. The district is led by District Governor Tsuyoshi Nakai.

About this District

The Philippines is home to the first Kiwanis club in Southeast Asia, the Kiwanis Club of Manila, founded in 1964, and has since grown into one of the largest districts in the Kiwanis world with 266 clubs and over 5,200 members across 27 divisions. In 1988, the district also created history by founding the Kiwanis Club of Bituin ng Manila, the world’s first all-female Kiwanis club.

A consistent KI Distinguished District, the Philippines has produced two Kiwanis International Presidents and five ASPAC Chairs, reflecting its deep bench of leadership. The district is currently led by District Governor Stachys Neil Espino.

About this District

Since the founding of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur in 1976, Kiwanis Malaysia has grown into a district of 48 clubs and over 1,000 members across 4 divisions. Its clubs have been repeatedly recognized for excellence, earning the KI Distinguished Service Award for three consecutive years (2017–2020), a Gold Medal Kiwanis Signature Project in 2018, and ASPAC’s Best Service Project honors in both 2019 and 2022.

Malaysia has also been a strong source of regional and international leadership, having produced Kiwanis International Trustees, Kiwanis Children’s Fund leaders, and three ASPAC Chairs. The district is currently led by District Governor Gary Wong.

About this District

Kiwanis Nepal’s journey began with the Kiwanis Club of Kathmandu in 2015 and was formally recognized as a nation at the 42nd ASPAC Convention in Jeju, Korea, in 2016. From five founding clubs, it grew into a Provisional District by 2017 and achieved full District status once membership surpassed 1,000 across 51 clubs — a remarkable pace of growth that continues today, with the district now counting 127 clubs and 1,838 members across 10 divisions.

Nepal’s rise has been matched by its leadership on the regional stage, with Mohan Lamsal serving as Kiwanis International Trustee (2023–2026) and Sujan Shrestha as ASPAC Chair (2023–2024). The district is led by District Governor Dr. Ram Sharan Thapaliya.
