25 Years of Kiwanis Malaysia: Legacy and Possibilities

“A Legacy of Impact, A Future of Possibilities”

Kiwanis Malaysia District proudly celebrates its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of Kiwanis service, leadership, and community engagement. From the founding of the first Kiwanis Club in Kuala Lumpur, the district grew through the pioneering efforts of Tan Sri Mohd Khir Johari, fondly known as the “Bapa Kiwanis,” who established the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur in 1976.

Since the official formation of the Malaysia District in 2000, the organization has expanded into a dynamic network committed to uplifting children and communities in need. Through initiatives supporting children with special needs and empowering young leaders, Kiwanis Malaysia has built a legacy grounded in compassion and purpose.

This year’s District Convention, set against the elegant backdrop of Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, invites Kiwanians and stakeholders to commemorate this meaningful journey. It is an occasion to reflect on shared milestones, renew the spirit of service, and look ahead to a future filled with greater impact and deeper connections.
