Kiwanis Taiwan 2025 Convention Celebrates Unity and Leadership

The 51st Taiwan District Convention, held on August 16-17, 2025 at the Wagor International Banquet Hall, Taichung, brought together 3,000 Kiwanis leaders in a celebration rooted deeply in Taiwanese culture. The opening ceremony was a highlight as distinguished gentlemen carried the Taiwan District banner into the hall, a storied tradition that signals unity, respect, and pride in local identity. With Governor Chi Kang Jone leading, the convention included the election of Governor Designate Feng Hui-Wen, Governor-Elect Lin Shu-Chuan and Treasurer Hsu Chin-Shu, among many other key positions, elected by the 1,431 voting delegates. It was a time to honor the past and charting a clear path forward.

ASPAC Chair Huang Wu-Tien, in his home district, played an active role in this gathering. He traveled across the Asia-Pacific region to attend district conventions as part of his commitment to lifting up local Kiwanis communities. At Taiwan’s convention, he participated actively in the Business Session, engaging in discussions about internal affairs and urged members to uphold high standards in governance. His presence, together with visits from KI President-Designate Michael Mulhaul and President-Elect Hope Markes, added gravitas to the event, reminding everyone that Kiwanis is a global network and that every district, including Taiwan with its more than 20,000 registered members, matters deeply in the greater mission of service.
