Maribel “Belle” Garcia

ASPAC Immediate Past Chair 2023-2024

Maribel “Belle” Garcia is the incumbent Chair of the Asia Pacific Region. She joined Kiwanis as a Charter Secretary of Kiwanis Club of Kuliat on January 22,1991. She was elected as the first lady Governor of Philippine Luzon District in 2007. During her term as Governor, she organized the Kiwanis Club of Purple Heart Luzon to which she initiated the long running signature project called “My Heart For A Child” ,the club members mostly of different nationalities do service to the children of a country where ASPAC Convention is being held.

She organized the Kiwanis Club of Guam in August 2021 and added Guam to the list of Kiwanis Nations.

Furthermore, Belle Garcia had spent her outstanding service with the U.S. Government for 32 years (1985 to 2017) until she retired as the Visa Operations Director of the Nonimmigrant Visa Unit at the US Embassy in Manila. She also served as an Adjunct Faculty of the Foreign Service Institute with the U.S. Department of State from 2011 to 2017. In 2018, she started the UNIQTeam Professional Development Consultancy in the Philippines with her Business Associates. Currently, she is connected with Black Construction Corporation based in Guam, U.S.A. She is in charge of bringing Filipino workers to Guam and Saipan.

Belle Garcia is a certified administrator of Myers Briggs Type Indicator® instrument (MBTI) and an advocate of personal growth and empowerment. Combined with her Kiwanis involvement and professional background, she continues to fulfill her mission of serving the children around the world.
