Her Kiwanis journey started as a Circle K member (1985-86) in Pace University in New York. When she returned to Malaysia, she participated in the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur’s long running fundraising event for the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation. After a few years volunteering, in 1998 she joined and became a life-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur, the first club in the District of Malaysia. She has served in various leadership roles in the club, and was President in 2003-2004.
Rosemary was the District Service Chair since 2018 and at the ASPAC E-Convention 2022 won the Best Service Project for the Food Aid that deployed over RM1,000,000 ringgit (USD 228,000) worth of aid that impacted 16,000 lives involving 36 Kiwanis Clubs over 400 members, over 50 volunteers, and 4 organisations. She is also involved in Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation & Kiwanis Malaysia Academy to build capacity for the Kiwanis Malaysia 18 permanent centers that mainly serves children with special needs. She was awarded the Governor’s Medal for her outstanding service to the District of Kiwanis Malaysia in 2001. And in 2004, she received a Honorable Mention by the Entrepreneurs Organisation-Kauffman Community Award recognizing EO members giving back to the community for her volunteer work in building of the Kiwanis Down Syndrome National Centre, Malaysia.
Her community involvement includes her membership to Entrepreneurs Organisation Malaysia where she ascended to be the Global Chairman of EO in 2013-14 and even won the Mark Lincoln Volunteer of the year award helping EO build a global community to impact the world. She has also served on the Board Trustee for Worldwide Fund for Nature Malaysia (WWF Malaysia 2000-2007), and helps her church in Marketplace ministry.
She is property developer where in 2008 her company she founded made The Edge’s (Malaysia’s Business Publication) Top 30 Property developers in Malaysia. Her residential project, Mesra Terrace was featured at the World Sustainable Building Conference in Melbourne, Australia for her comprehensive effort to incorporate environment-friendly features into her development. Currently, she is serving in her family business in property development and Palm Oil Plantation in Malaysia.
Her mission is to help others discover their potential; as trainer, accidental coach and mentor. She believes that building bridges in the marketplace and community, empowering entrepreneurs and service leaders will bring about ripples of transformational change.
