200kg of white rice donated to Bunong residents happy New Year

On January 20, 2012, when the solar term was very cold, it was the New Year’s Eve. President Liu Ziqi of Taichung Saint Laurent International Kiwi Association called Secretary-General Guo Xiuhua, Supervisor Wang Ai, and former President Hu Qiuru at noon on the same day. They took two cars each carrying 100 kilograms of rice to go Wanfeng Village is located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County. This village is located between the mountains in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County. It is about 700 meters above sea level. It is the junction of the hunting grounds of the Atayal and Bunun peoples. The northernmost branch of the tribe, formerly known as Qu Bing, donated to the ninth and tenth neighbors of the village, and the pre-investigation survey indicated that they were relatively poor financially.

Over the years, the Saint Laurent Tongji Association has spared no effort in caring for the disadvantaged and distributing resources to those who really need it. After a two-hour journey across the mountains, I went to Qubing Yuelao Garden to unload 200 kilograms of white rice as scheduled. The head of Wanfeng Village, Yu Mingxing, was unable to accept the gift due to the lack of water on the mountain. Wu Chunfu, the ninth neighbor, was appointed. Neighborhood leaders and several resident representatives accepted. Neighbor Wu said that receiving this batch of white rice years ago was a gift from God to the Bunun people who had a difficult life. He was very grateful to Saint Laurent International Kiwis.

As the saying goes, it is more blessed to give than to receive. Saint Laurent Tongji Association loves non-stop, makes good use of surrounding resources to care for the community, and takes care of the disadvantaged in rural areas. As a Tongji member, I practice the service spirit of dedication and altruism, and I am proud of Tongji.
