This year, the 23rd Kiwanis Malaysia District Convention was held in a quaint little town called Muar. The Business segment brought together Kiwanians from all over Malaysia to vote in the key officers of the new board and deliberate on important proposed amendments to the district’s by-laws.
Kiwanis International Trustee Vincent Selembier took on the role of overseeing the proceedings, while KI President Designate Lee Kuan Yong served as the Parliamentarian.

District Treasurer - Cheok Kim Chee
The Kiwanis Malaysia District Board proposed three amendments to the District’s by- laws; the proposed amendments were presented to the house of delegates by District Governor Rosemary Tan. The proceedings witnessed healthy debates amongst delegates, handled with much decorum with good arguments on both sides of the table.
Later that evening at the Gala Dinner themed “Malaysia Truly Asia” graced by YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, District Governor Designate Michael Chiew announced the appointment of Dato’ Stewart LaBrooy as the District Secretary for 2023-2024.
