Evangeline “Gigi” Chan Chu is a passionate leader, entrepreneur, and community builder whose journey reflects both professional excellence and a deep commitment to service. A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Accountancy, she has built her career in finance, management, and corporate leadership—bringing with her a strong foundation of discipline, integrity, and innovation.
Her Kiwanis journey began in October 2014 with the Kiwanis Club of Geo-Ormoc, where she quickly embraced the mission of serving children and communities. She went on to serve as Club President for two terms (2016–2018) and was honored as a Kiwanis Life Member in 2018. Since then, she has risen through various leadership roles—Division 1B’s first Lieutenant Governor, District Membership Chair, District Advocate for the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, and ultimately two-term Distinguished Governor of the Southern Philippine District (2022–2024).
A trailblazer at heart, Gigi founded the first internet-based club in the Southern Philippine District—the Kiwanis Club of Leyte Digital Innovators—and introduced Service Leadership Programs in Ormoc City, including the Aktion Club and Circle K International. Her innovative spirit extended to the Asia-Pacific level, where she pioneered the first digital souvenir book for ASPAC (2021), launched the Kiwanis Mana eCookbook, and championed the ASPAC Signature Project #iProtect, which earned international recognition.
Gigi is also a proud supporter of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, having been honored with multiple fellowships—including George Hixson Fellow, Walter Zeller Fellow, Dr. Wil Blechman Fellow, and Kiwanis Amplify Graduate—reflecting her enduring commitment to improving the lives of children worldwide.
Today, as ASPAC Vice Chair (2025–2026), Gigi continues to inspire by living her belief in the power of small acts of kindness and by carrying her personal call to action:
“Get Involved to participate and make a difference. Get Inspired to dream, to lead, and uplift others.”
