LALITPUR, Nepal — On August 30, 2025, Kiwanis Nepal District gathered at the Himalayas Hotel in Pulchowk, Lalitpur for its 7th District Convention, commemorating 10 Years of Service Legacy. The event witnessed a smooth transition of leadership with Dr. Ram Sharan Thapaliya elected as Governor, Ram Hari Subedi as Governor-Elect, and Bharat Prasad Dhungel as Vice Governor, among others taking key appointments with the guidance of KI Trustee Mohan Lamsal.
Among the honored dignitaries was ASPAC Chair Huang Wu-Tien and his team from Taiwan District, whose journey across the Asia Pacific Region has brought him to many events in different districts. In Nepal he offered encouragement and support, recognizing how this convention marks a symbolic milestone for the nation as a full Kiwanis district.
Chair Huang commended the democratic spirit in which the elections were conducted, and he applauded the dedication of District Governor Manisha Bimali and district officers who worked tirelessly to ensure the convention’s success. His presence amplified the energy in the room, reminding all that Kiwanis’ mission transcends borders and that when leaders and members unite in purpose, the impact on children and communities is magnified.
