There are moments in service that remind us why we lead and why we serve. At the Kiwanis International Convention 2025 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, Past Kiwanis International President Katrina Jones Baranko took the stage to recognize fourteen (14) Kiwanis Districts for earning the title of Distinguished for the 2023-2024 administrative year. She also honored five (5) district governors with highest distinction, the Beacon Award, recognizing exceptional leadership and impact.
The Asia-Pacific region stood proud with four Distinguished Districts and two Beacon Awardees. These recognitions represent hard work, shared purpose, and the deep belief that small acts of kindness can create lasting change.
From ASPAC, we celebrate the following:
DISTINGUISHED Districts and Governors:
DG Tirtha Kumar Singh of Nepal
DG Glenda Hufano of Philippine Luzon
DG Evangeline Chan Chu of Southern Philippine
DG Tsung-Hsun Lin of Taiwan
BEACON Awardees:
DG Glenda Hufano of Philippine Luzon
DG Tsung-Hsun Lin of Taiwan
These leaders have led with compassion. During the Distinguished District Dinner Cruise held on June 26, 2025, ASPAC Secretary Gigi Chan Chu and Immediate Past District Governor Glenda Hufano personally received their awards. IPDG Glenda was also recognized for her Beacon honor, a proud moment for the entire region.
These awards remind us that real service is about showing up every day, lifting others, and leaving a legacy of hope. And that is exactly what our ASPAC leaders continue to do.
