Inspired by the Kiwanis Club of Bendigo's initiative, the Kiwanis Club of Brisbane in the Kiwanis Australia District embarked on their own Community Book Boxes project, aiming to bring literature closer to the community. Following a similar model, they enlisted the help of a local men's shed to craft the boxes and partnered with a girl guide unit to add colorful decorations.
The club is actively working with local authorities to install weatherproof book boxes at key locations, aiming to expand the project to more parks and playgrounds. Through their dedication, the club is making strides in promoting literacy and community engagement.
