The Kiwanis Club of Lucena City in the Philippine Luzon District initiated a coastal clean-up program, aptly named "Golden Gift: A Coastal Clean - A Generation Green," in celebration of Earth Day 2024, aligning with Kiwanis Asia Pacific Region's weeklong service celebration themed "Planet Vs Plastics" under the Green Generation Week banner.
The club's Student Leadership Programs (SLP); Quezon National High School Key Club and Builders Club of Quezon National High School dedicated their time to community service by picking up plastic waste along the coastal area of Brgy. Dalahican, Lucena City, together with other clubs from Division 4C: KC Lucena Aces, KC Ciudad de Tayabas, KC Quehitea, KC Kalilayan Angels, KC Lucena Bravehearts, KC Lucena New Central, emphasized the significance of this initiative as a meaningful contribution from Kiwanis Clubs to the younger generation within the organization.
This simple act of environmental stewardship represents a significant stride towards safeguarding our planet.
