With unwavering enthusiasm, the Saitama Key Club of the Kiwanis Japan District, launched a project aimed at environmental conservation. By collecting plastic bottles and deposit it to recycle stations in various locations like Seven Eleven and Yaoko, they initiated a recycling initiative where individuals could exchange these bottles for points on a card.
These points were then utilized for their innovative " Seed Paper" project, where old newspapers were torn into small pieces, mixed with water, and molded with seeds to create colorful coasters, bookmarks, or plantable paper.
This initiative represents a remarkable cycle where plastic waste is transformed into points, points into plantable paper, and ultimately into tangible environmental benefits, showcasing the power of grassroots efforts in environmental improvement.
