Mr. Deepak Raj Sharma Poudel embarked on his journey as a Kiwanian on September 2, 2017 as a member of Kiwanis Club of Himalayas, Nepal. As Charter President, he founded the Kiwanis Club of Kathmandu ESUN (Ex-Students Unity of Nepal Law Campus) 2017–2018, a distinctive club exclusively comprising his law graduate batchmates.

A founding member of Kiwanis Nepal District and its inaugural Master Instructor, Mr. Sharma Poudel has held numerous leadership roles: Master Instructor (2019–2020), Additional Secretary (2020–2021), District Secretary (2021–2022), District Co-Chief Advisor, Past President Association Coordinator, and District Ambassador (2022–2023). For 2023–2024, he continues as District Co-Chief Advisor, SLP Chair, and Past President Association Coordinator.

Currently, he is an active member of four clubs across three districts:

Kiwanis Club of Leyte Digital Innovators* (Charter Member, Southern Philippine District K42)
Kiwanis Club of Cainta Karangalan* (Member, Kiwanis Philippines Luzon District K36).

Additionally, he serves as Executive Legal Advisor (2023–2024) and previously as Executive/Legal Assistant (2022–2023) for the Southern Philippine District K42.

At the ASPAC level, he contributes as Chair of the Legal Advisory Committee (2024–2025) and served on the SLP and Service Committees (2023–2024). A dedicated Kiwanian, he has established nine clubs in Nepal and one in the Southern Philippine District.

His accolades include Kiwanis International’s Distinguished Club Award (2017–2018), Gold Level – The Formula (2018–2019), Distinguished District Secretary (2021–2022), and the Ruby K Award for achieving 100-member growth (2022–2023).

Born on November 22, 1968, in Dailekh, Mr. Sharma Poudel is the only child of Shiva Raj Sharma Poudel and Sabitri Devi Poudel. Originally from Lamjung and Chitwan, he now resides in Lalitpur with his three children-two daughters and a son.

Academically, he holds a Master’s in Sociology and Political Science, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Laws. Professionally, he is an advocate and a prolific television producer and presenter, known for programs such as Kanoonka Kura, Nyayama Pahunch, Gufa (Nepal Television), and 10 Baje (Kantipur Television).

Renowned as a skilled trainer, facilitator, and motivator, he collaborates with diverse organizations as a resource person.

Driven by his commitment to children’s welfare, he champions the motto: “Rather than being a fleeting memory to a few, I strive to leave a lasting legacy as a compassionate human being through impactful social service, particularly for Nepal’s children.”
