Born in Jeparit, Australia, Ian Randall’s formative years were spent amidst the idyllic landscapes of central Victoria, including an apple orchard and farm. His educational journey led him through Castlemaine, where he attended the local technical college for his secondary education. A multi-faceted individual, Ian’s interests encompassed a diverse range of sports and activities, such as Australian rules football, tennis, basketball, street rodding, water skiing, and scuba diving. Family plays a central role in Ian’s life. He is happily married to Angela and is a proud father of two sons, William and Stuart, while also enjoying the blessings of three grandchildren.

Professionally, Ian Randall boasts extensive qualifications and a versatile skill set. His career has spanned various domains, including mechanical engineering, teaching at secondary and TAFE levels, educational technology, curriculum and instructional design, media production, project management, executive development, and human resources. Ian’s approach to his work is characterized by an unwavering commitment to innovation, improvement, and achieving excellence in every endeavor.

Ian’s journey with Kiwanis began in 2004 when he joined the Kiwanis Club of Brighton (Vic). Currently, he is an active member of both the Kiwanis clubs of Moorabbin and Australia Online. Over the years, Ian has dedicated his time and energy to numerous Kiwanis projects, such as hygiene kits for the homeless, Bunnings sausage sizzles, Heartkids Kiwanis annual family camps, prescription spectacle collection, new toothbrush distribution, book boxes, and various initiatives involving organizations like HeartKids, the Children First Foundation, and 123Read2Me. His deep commitment to Kiwanis also extends to his roles as Lt Governor of Division 6, a position he has held for a total of seven years, and his participation in Kiwanis Australia District National Conventions.

Ian Randall recognizes Kiwanis’ exceptional contributions to “improving the lives of children.” While he envisions Kiwanis continuing to thrive and expand its impact, he acknowledges the need for innovative approaches to attract new members and develop activities that will ensure Kiwanis remains a vital force well into the future.
