Takao Nagoya, a long-standing member of the Kiwanis Club of Sapporo, Hokkaido, has been elected as the 2024-2025 Governor of the Japan District. His election took place during the 2024 Japan District Convention in Kagoshima, marking a significant milestone in his 16 years of service with Kiwanis International. Throughout his time in the organization, Takao has held numerous leadership positions, including Auditor, Vice President, Club President, and Lieutenant Governor of the Division, showcasing his dedication to Kiwanis and its mission.

Beyond his Kiwanis involvement, Takao is a certified tax accountant with a deep passion for fostering international relationships. He has actively contributed to organizations such as the Asociacion Japonesa de los Amigos de la Cultura Maya de Guatemala, The America-Japan Society of Hokkaido, and The China-Japan Economic Society of Hokkaido. Additionally, he serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Guatemala in Sapporo, further emphasizing his commitment to global friendship and cooperation.
