The Kiwanis Club of Trece Martires Tender Hearts in the Philippine Luzon District, in partnership with the Kiwanis ASPAC's Kiwanis Branding Academy and Provincial Information & Communications Technology Office (PICTO) Cavite, sponsored a month-long, free CANVA Summer Training program for 100 children from the surrounding communities of Trece Martires City, Cavite. This summer initiative is designed to equip young minds with essential graphic design skills using CANVA, enhancing their creativity and sparking a passion for creative careers.
The program culminates in an exciting graduation day, where the children showcase their newfound skills in a mural contest themed "Kiwanis Green Generation." This contest emphasizes the importance of environmental stewardship, encouraging children to create mural designs that reflect their vision for a sustainable future.
ASPAC Chair Sujan Shrestha has the honor of selecting the winner, whose mural delivers a powerful and simple message: "Protect." Created by 10-year-old student Gail A. Ondrea, who had zero knowledge of Canva when she started the workshop. This embodies the essence of the Green Generation campaign—encouraging children to take an active role in protecting the environment for future generations.
The Kiwanis Branding Academy, committed to fostering creativity and enhancing the Kiwanis brand among younger generations, believes that such workshops are crucial. These experiences not only build technical skills but also embed lasting positive memories that inspire our young leaders to make the world a better place.
This initiative is more than just a training program; it's a celebration of creativity, community, and a commitment to a greener future. Join us in supporting this remarkable journey of learning, creativity, and environmental advocacy—where every child’s artistic expression becomes a beacon of hope for the future.
