The First Day of EID

As the crescent moon signals the end of Ramadan, millions of our fellow Kiwanians across the Asia-Pacific region come together to celebrate the First Day of Eid. Known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Malaysia and Indonesia, Eid Mubarak in many parts of South Asia and the Middle East, and Pasko sa Ramadan in the Philippines, this sacred occasion is a time of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing. It marks the completion of a month-long spiritual journey of fasting, self-discipline, and devotion, culminating in joyous gatherings, feasts, and the giving of zakat (charity) to those in need.

Beyond the vibrant festivities, the essence of Eid lies in its universal message—gratitude for blessings, generosity towards others, and the strengthening of family and community ties.

As Kiwanians, we embrace these values in our mission of service, fostering unity and understanding among diverse cultures and faiths. Whether through heartfelt greetings of Selamat Hari Raya, Eid Mubarak, or Happy Eid, let us celebrate alongside our Muslim brothers and sisters, honoring the spirit of compassion and kindness that binds us all.
