The Kiwanis Club of Tokyo in the Japan District recently celebrated its 60th Anniversary at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu in a grand event attended by Kiwanis International President Katrina Baranko, ASPAC Chair Sujan Shrestha, ASPAC Secretary Dato Stewart Labrooy and Kiwanis leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The highlight of the celebration was the signing of a sisterhood agreement between the Kiwanis Club of Tokyo and the Kiwanis Club of Manila, the two oldest clubs in the Asia-Pacific region, established on January 24, 1964, and July 4, 1964, respectively. This momentous occasion not only honored six decades of dedicated service but also reinforced the strong bonds of friendship and collaboration between these historic clubs, inspiring continued growth and unity within the Kiwanis community.
