Our journey together in ASPAC has begun, I am reaching out to rally our collective effort for Kiwanis One Day 2023.
For years, Kiwanis One Day (K1D) has been celebrated globally, uniting us in October. I am thrilled to officially announce that Kiwanis Asia-Pacific will embark on a regional solidarity campaign with the theme "Green Generation" on October 28, 2023. This project was presented during the ASPAC Executive Board Joint Meeting on September 24, 2023.
This year, our focus is on environmental activities, planting a thousand trees, that can make a lasting impact. These actions aren't just about preserving nature; they are about nurturing the future of the children we serve and safeguarding the communities we cherish.
We urge you to share with us the Kiwanis One Day: Green Generation stories of your projects for publication, both visually and in writing. Show us how your initiatives benefit children, communities, SLPs, and schools and contribute to the critical battle against climate change that seriously affects us all. Each of these narratives serves as a testament to Kiwanis spirit in action.
Stay tuned for the K1D 2023 Contest comprises three (3) exciting categories: Best Photo, Best One Day Story, and Best K1D 2023 Reel. Join us in celebrating the creative spirit and the power of storytelling to inspire change.
For those Districts and Nations that participate, we have a special citation award for the Governors and Representatives that will be presented during the ASPAC Convention 2024 in Australia to honor your effort of solidarity with this remarkable cause.
Let's come together as a region, as Kiwanians united by our commitment to service, and make Kiwanis One Day 2023: Green Generation a successful project. Our actions today will shape the future for generations to come.
