On a sunny September, the Kiwanis Club of Shepparton Sunrisers in Kiwanis Australia District, in partnership with KidsTown and Activities in the Park, brought an array of outdoor excitement to the Sprout Garden. The day featured a delightful mix of activities, from classic games like hopscotch, noughts and crosses, to the ever-popular giant Jenga. An added dose of joy came from the Bohollow EnviroEd animal shelter, where kids and attendees had the chance to interact with native animals and some furry friends.
The event's highlight was a silent disco that kept the young crowd dancing from daylight into the evening. With headphones on, they grooved to the music and followed dance instructions, making it a memorable and entertaining experience.
The Kiwanis Club of Shepparton Sunrisers is responsible for developing this Healthy Lifestyle Garden & Education Centre, was recently honored with a Silver Award in the Best Signature Project Contest by Kiwanis International in Minneapolis, USA.This recognition underscores their commitment to making a positive impact in their community.
