In a proactive move aligning with the ethos of the Kiwanis Asia-Pacific's Green Generation project, Kiwanis New Zealand & South Pacific (NZSP) District is starting to collect native tree seeds with the help of local clubs, aiming to address the need for more trees in communities.
Collaborating on this seedling bank project with the Trees for Canterbury Association, this effort involves picking seeds from native trees in the area, cultivating them in nurseries, and coordinating with city mayors to secure land for these green initiatives, ultimately planting them in public spaces, free for the community.
