SUKANEKA: Fostering Empowerment for Children with Down Syndrome to Thrive

The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation in Malaysia District is dedicated to the well-being of children with down syndrome, with a primary emphasis on providing them education up to the age of six.

Every year, the Kiwanis Club of Klang actively contributes to the welfare of children with down syndrome through their support of the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation. One of the significant initiatives they undertake is organizing the Sukaneka, an annual sports day specifically designed for these children to engage in joyful activities. This event not only allows the kids to have fun but also serves as a platform to boost their self-confidence and cultivate a sense of camaraderie among them and their sponsors.

Through this thoughtful gesture, the Kiwanis Club of Klang and ASPAC Secretary Dató Stewart Labrooy exemplify their commitment to promoting the overall well-being of their beneficiaries. They consistently aim to provide invaluable support and opportunities for children with down syndrome, enabling them to thrive.
